About Us

The Med Den exists because medicine is more than memorising facts.
Medical students are taught anatomy, physiology, pathology and guidelines, yet many still struggle with one of the most important questions:
"How do clinicians actually think?"
When a patient presents with fatigue, headache, chest pain or dizziness, experienced clinicians do not simply recall lists of conditions. They assess probability, recognise patterns, identify red flags and navigate uncertainty.
The Med Den was created to help bridge the gap between medical knowledge and clinical reasoning.
Through symptom-based frameworks, diagnostic flowcharts and practical educational resources, the aim is to help students and junior doctors develop the thinking processes that underpin safe and effective clinical practice.
The goal is simple:
To help the next generation of doctors think clearly, diagnose safely and continue learning throughout their careers.

Our mission is to help medical students and junior doctors develop clinical reasoning skills through clear, practical and accessible diagnostic education.

I am a UK-trained GP with experience across Hull, Grimsby and Leeds.
Alongside clinical work, I have mentored doctors, allied health professionals and medical students, helping them improve their clinical thinking and communication.
At The Med Den, I bring this same practical, supportive approach to medical students and foundation doctors.
My goal is to make learning clear, achievable and genuinely helpful.
